There are generally two main groups for sealing solutions:
1) "Flush" - This method involves introducing a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, optimizing the operating environment. A secondary, typically downward-oriented port provides a convenient opening for leakage observation or venting, enhancing maintenance and safety.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - A secondary fluid circulates between two sets of mechanical seals, preventing ambient air from interacting with the pumped fluid. This improves seal cooling and boosts overall safety, making it a crucial choice for high-demand operations.
