The SLZ end suction, long coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump is meticulously standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858, setting a benchmark for versatility across industrial and marine markets. It is masterfully engineered to handle low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated liquids, effortlessly eliminating worries of solid or fibrous particulates. Typically, it accommodates fluids such as fresh water, seawater, and various fuels, including diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Its diverse applications extend across fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining, fire fighting, irrigation, water supply, water treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine operations.
This robust and commanding centrifugal chemical process pump excels in high flow and high-pressure capabilities, catering to demanding industrial needs.
The innovative long coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design is brimming with advantageous features.
The long coupled configuration boasts exceptional maintenance ease, allowing seamless pump head access without motor removal.
Engineered for resilience and relentless performance, this process pump features additional bearings within the pump head, significantly alleviating motor strain during continuous operation.
The ingenious back pull out design permits motor removal while keeping the pump interconnected with the pipework, thus enabling substantial time savings during service or maintenance.
Characterized by independent shafts for the centrifugal chemical process pump and motor, this design ensures that only the pump shaft needs replacement upon failure. In contrast, lesser pumps reliant on motor shafts may require full motor replacement if a shaft breaks.
With its long coupled design, the ample space between pump and motor acts as a safeguard against fluid ingress into the motor in the event of a seal failure.

Our centrifugal pumps, including those designed for chemical processes, proudly incorporate renowned brand bearings. These superior components ensure an exceptionally extended service life for our pumps, even when operating in the most demanding environments.
To optimally balance the axial thrust, our pumps feature wear rings strategically placed at both the front and rear of most impeller designs. Additionally, a balance hole is expertly integrated into the back shroud of the impeller. For certain models where the axial thrust is minimal, the need for a rear wear ring and balance hole is elegantly eliminated.
Our high-precision casting impellers guarantee outstanding performance. Constructed from premium materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, they deliver reliability and durability across various applications.
We proudly categorize our mechanical seals into two primary groups, offering tailored solutions for diverse operational needs:
1) "Flush" - This method involves the injection of a pristine, cooling liquid into the seal chamber, enhancing the operational environment. An additional smaller, downward-facing port is typically provided, serving as a leakage indicator or vent opening, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - This approach involves a secondary fluid introduced between two mechanical seals. It acts as a barrier against ambient air, improves seal cooling, and enhances safety by preventing contact with the pumped fluid.
It is important to note that not all mechanical seals necessitate specialized external flush arrangements, offering flexibility in design.
Versatile Flexible Couplings
In contrast to their rigid counterparts, flexible couplings are designed to gracefully accommodate movement, such as vibrations and thermal expansions, without sustaining damage. This adaptability makes them ideal for scenarios where minor misalignments between the drive and pump shafts are unavoidable. Their ability to effectively absorb vibrations also enables them to mitigate excessive operational noise. While they involve a more intricate and costly design, the long-term benefits—such as safeguarding shafts and bearings from damage and premature wear—translate into significant maintenance savings.
Semhai API standard chemical pumps are engineered with API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, ensuring adherence to international quality benchmarks.
These couplings deliver superior performance with lower reaction loads and enhanced balancing quality compared to standard couplings, significantly boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire pump power transmission system.
