Introducing the SLZ end suction, long coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump. Crafted meticulously to conform with the impeccable standards of EN 22858 / ISO 2858, this marvel of engineering is poised to meet the diverse and demanding needs of the industrial and marine sectors. Engineered for exceptional performance, it adeptly handles low viscosity clean or slightly tainted fluids, effortlessly excluding fibrous or solid materials. It gracefully accommodates a variety of liquids such as fresh water, sea water, and fuels including diesel, petrol, and kerosene. This pump excels across numerous applications, including fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining, firefighting, irrigation, water supply and treatment, pressurisation, grey water management, dewatering, and marine operations.
This colossal centrifugal chemical process pump is engineered for heavy-duty tasks, boasting impressive capabilities in both high flow and high pressure, making it a formidable asset in any demanding environment.
Discover the myriad advantages of the long coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design, which offers unparalleled benefits to enhance your operations.
The long coupled configuration shines with its user-friendly maintenance, allowing easy access to the pump head without the need to dislodge the motor, ensuring seamless and efficient upkeep.
Renowned for its robustness, this process pump is crafted for relentless, continuous use. Equipped with additional bearings in the pump head, it significantly reduces motor strain during operation, ensuring longevity and reliability.
Embrace the innovative back pull-out design, which permits motor removal while keeping the pump connected to the pipework. This feature saves precious time during servicing and maintenance, optimizing operational efficiency.
The centrifugal chemical process pump and motor boast independent shafts, meaning only the pump shaft requires replacement if broken. Unlike other less durable models that rely solely on the motor shaft, this design ensures motor preservation and reduced replacement costs.
The long coupled design provides ample space between pump and motor, safeguarding the motor from fluid ingress in the unfortunate event of a seal failure, thus enhancing protection and reliability.

Our centrifugal pumps, including chemical pumps, proudly incorporate bearings from prestigious brands. This ensures not only a longer lifespan but also unparalleled durability, even in the most challenging and demanding environments.
To expertly manage axial thrust, most impellers are equipped with precision-engineered wear rings at both the front and back. A strategically placed balance hole on the impeller's back shroud further enhances stability. However, in instances where the axial thrust is minimal, the absence of a rear wear ring and balance hole is noted.
The high-precision casting of the impeller guarantees optimal performance. Available in robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, it stands as a testament to excellence in craftsmanship.
There are generally two main groups:
1) "Flush" – This technique introduces a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, enhancing the operational environment. A secondary, discreet port typically positioned downward, serves as an observation or vent point for leakage detection.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" – Utilized with dual seals, this method circulates a secondary fluid between two mechanical seals. This prevents ambient air from mixing with the pumped fluid, boosts seal cooling, and enhances safety measures.
It is noteworthy that numerous mechanical seals do not necessitate unique external flush systems.
Flexible couplings
Offering a stark contrast to rigid couplings, flexible couplings effortlessly manage some degrees of movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion. This adaptability makes them perfect for setups prone to drive and pump shaft misalignment. Their exceptional vibration absorption also minimizes operational noise, although they come with a more intricate and costly design. Nevertheless, by shielding shafts and bearings from damage and premature wear, they present substantial maintenance savings over time.
Shanghai Semhai Pump Co., Ltd. proudly integrates API standard chemical pumps with API 671 Standard Disc Couplings.
These couplings offer reduced reaction loads and superior balancing quality over standard options, significantly enhancing the efficiency and performance of the entire pump power transmission system.
