For pumps with minimal axial thrust, a streamlined design without a rear wear ring or balance hole is implemented.
The high-precision casting of our impellers guarantees superior performance. They are meticulously crafted from materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze to meet diverse application demands.
There are generally two main groups:
1) "Flush" - This method introduces a pristine, cool liquid into the seal chamber, significantly enhancing the operating environment. An additional, smaller port, typically positioned downward, serves as a leakage monitor or vent opening.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - This technique involves infusing a secondary fluid into the space between two mechanical seals. This prevents atmospheric air from interacting with the pumped fluid, optimizes seal cooling, and bolsters safety.
It's important to note that not every mechanical seal requires specialized external flush arrangements.
