The SLZ end suction, long-coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump is an engineering marvel standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858. Designed for versatility, this pump seamlessly caters to a vast array of industrial and marine applications. It is adept at handling low viscosity, clean or slightly contaminated fluids, devoid of solid or fibrous debris. Be it fresh water, sea water, or fuels like diesel, petrol, and kerosene, this pump excels. From fuel transfer, chemical processing, and energy plants to mining, firefighting, irrigation, water supply, treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine applications, its capabilities are boundless.
Experience unparalleled performance with our large, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump. Engineered for high flow and high pressure, it sets the standard in reliability and efficiency.
The long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers a multitude of advantages, making it a preferred choice for demanding applications.
The ease of maintenance is a standout feature of the long-coupled configuration—access the pump head effortlessly without detaching the motor.
Built for endurance, this process pump is robustly engineered for continuous operation. Additional bearings in the pump head effectively alleviate motor strain during intense operation.
Benefit from the innovative back pull-out design, allowing motor removal while the pump remains linked to pipework. This ingenious feature saves significant time during service or maintenance.
Our centrifugal chemical process pump boasts independence between pump and motor shafts. In the rare event of a shaft breakage, only the pump shaft requires replacement. This contrasts with less durable models that necessitate entire motor replacement upon shaft failure.
The long-coupled design ensures a generous gap between the pump and motor, safeguarding the motor against fluid ingress should seal failure occur.

Our centrifugal pumps and chemical pumps proudly incorporate famous brand bearings, ensuring a remarkable extension of service life even amid the harshest working environments. These reliable bearings are pivotal in elevating the durability and operational excellence of our products.
To expertly balance axial thrust, our pumps feature front and back wear rings around the impeller, complemented by a balance hole on the back shroud. Certain pumps, with minimal axial thrust, expertly omit the back wear ring and balance hole, showcasing tailored engineering precision.
Crafted with high-precision casting techniques, our impellers guarantee superior performance. Available materials include resilient cast iron, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and durable bronze, catering to diverse industrial requirements.
There are generally two main groups:
1) "Flush" - This method utilizes clean, cool liquid injected into the seal chamber, optimizing the operational environment. A secondary, smaller port typically faces downward, serving as an observation or vent opening to monitor leakages effectively.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - A secondary fluid is introduced between dual mechanical seals to prevent ambient air from contacting the pumped fluid, thereby enhancing seal cooling, and significantly boosting safety measures.
It's important to note that not all mechanical seals are designed to require these specialized external flush arrangements, highlighting the diversity in seal configurations.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings provide the versatility to accommodate movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion, protecting against damage. Ideal for settings with unavoidable misalignment, they excel in reducing noise and vibration. Though a more complex design may raise costs initially, their ability to safeguard shafts and bearings secures long-term maintenance savings.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps utilize API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, reflecting our commitment to maintaining industry standards with exceptional coupling technology.
This design achieves lower reaction loads and superior balancing quality, significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire pump power transmission, surpassing traditional couplings.
