The SLZ End-Suction, Long-Coupled, Single Stage Centrifugal Chemical Process Pump is a masterpiece of engineering excellence. Standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858, this versatile pump excels across a spectrum of industrial and marine applications. With a design tailored for pumping low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, it excludes solid or fibrous impurities, making it ideal for liquids like fresh water, sea water, and various fuels including diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Its robust capabilities shine in diverse applications such as fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy generation, mining, firefighting, irrigation, water supply, treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and maritime operations.
This formidable, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump boasts high flow and high pressure capabilities, making it a powerhouse for demanding industrial tasks.
The ingenious long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers an array of advantages.
With its long-coupled configuration, maintenance becomes a breeze, allowing access to the pump head without the hassle of removing the motor, ensuring seamless operation.
Crafted for relentless operation, this process pump is reinforced with additional bearings in the pump head, significantly reducing motor strain and enhancing durability for continuous use.
Thanks to its innovative back pull-out design, the motor can be effortlessly detached while the pump remains connected to the pipework, facilitating quick and efficient maintenance, thereby saving valuable time.
Featuring independent shafts for the pump and motor, this design ensures only the pump shaft requires replacement if compromised. In contrast, less robust models rely solely on the motor shaft, necessitating full motor replacement upon failure.
The strategic long-coupled design creates a protective buffer between the pump and motor, safeguarding against fluid ingress in the event of seal failure, thus preserving motor integrity.

Our centrifugal and chemical pumps are equipped with renowned brand bearings, delivering extraordinary durability and reliability even in the toughest of environments, ensuring a prolonged lifespan for all of our pump products.
To effectively balance axial thrust, most impellers feature wear rings at both the front and back, complemented by a balance hole on the back shroud. For pumps with minimal axial thrust, the design is streamlined, eliminating the need for rear wear rings and balance holes.
The high-precision casting of our impellers guarantees superior performance and is available in materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, catering to a variety of application needs.
Our systems are categorized into two principal groups:
1) "Flush" - This method introduces a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, optimizing the operational environment. A secondary, smaller port, typically oriented downward, facilitates leakage observation or serves as a vent.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - By supplying a secondary fluid to the space between two mechanical seals, this system prevents ambient air from interacting with the pumped fluid, enhances seal cooling, and bolsters overall safety.
It's important to note that not all mechanical seals require specialized external flush setups, allowing for versatile and adaptable configurations.
Flexible Couplings
Flexible couplings, unlike their rigid counterparts, are designed to accommodate movement such as vibrations and thermal expansions without sustaining damage. They are ideal for applications where drive and pump shafts are slightly misaligned. These couplings also effectively absorb vibrations, minimizing operating noise, though their complex design incurs higher costs. Yet, their ability to protect shafts and bearings from damage ensures significant maintenance savings over time.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps feature API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, a testament to quality and performance.
With lower reaction loads and enhanced balancing quality, these couplings outperform standard ones, significantly boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire pump power transmission system.
