The SLZ end suction, long-coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump is engineered to meet the stringent standards of EN 22858 / ISO 2858. This versatile pump is perfectly suited for a myriad of industrial and marine applications. Its design ensures efficient pumping of low-viscosity fluids that are clean or only slightly contaminated, free from fibrous or solid particles. Commonly handled fluids include fresh and sea water, along with fuels such as diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Its adaptability shines in applications like fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining operations, firefighting, irrigation, water supply, treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine usage. The SLZ pump is a paragon of industrial efficiency and reliability.
This robust, large, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump is designed to deliver exceptional performance with high flow rates and pressure capabilities. Its engineering excellence ensures it stands up to the demands of rigorous industrial tasks.
The design of the long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump incorporates a multitude of benefits, making it an invaluable asset in industrial operations.
The long-coupled configuration of the pump significantly simplifies maintenance procedures, as it allows easy access to the pump head without the need to remove the motor, thus reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
This pump is built to endure, with a robust design optimized for continuous operation. Additional bearings in the pump head significantly reduce the strain on the motor, ensuring longevity and consistent performance.
Thanks to the back pull-out design, the motor can be conveniently removed while keeping the pump connected to the pipework. This feature greatly enhances service efficiency and reduces maintenance time.
The centrifugal chemical process pump boasts independent shafts for the pump and motor. This means if the pump shaft breaks, only it needs replacement, saving costs and preventing the need to replace the entire motor—a common shortfall in less robust pumps.
The long-coupled design provides ample space between the pump and motor, an essential feature that safeguards the motor from fluid ingress in the event of a seal failure, thus enhancing the longevity of the equipment.

Renowned brand bearings are prominently featured in our centrifugal and chemical pump products, ensuring a remarkably extended service life, even amidst the most challenging environments.
To expertly counterbalance axial thrust, our design includes wear rings at the front and back of most impellers, accompanied by a strategically placed balance hole on the impeller’s back shroud. For pumps where axial thrust is minimal, the design intelligently eliminates the need for a back wear ring and balance hole.
Our impellers, crafted with high-precision casting, guarantee superior performance. They are available in premium materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze.
Typically, there are two principal categories:
1) "Flush" - This innovative system involves injecting clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber to optimize the operational conditions. A secondary, smaller port is strategically oriented downward, often doubling as a leakage observation point or vent opening.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" used with dual seals - A secondary fluid is ingeniously introduced between two mechanical seal sets to prevent ambient air from contacting the pumped fluid, thereby enhancing seal cooling and boosting safety.
It's crucial to note that not all mechanical seals necessitate specialized external flush arrangements.
Innovative Flexible Couplings
In contrast to rigid couplings, our flexible couplings are designed to tolerate some movements, such as vibrations and thermal expansion, without sustaining damage. This makes them perfect for scenarios with inevitable misalignment between drive and pump shafts. Their ability to absorb vibrations efficiently also serves to mitigate excessive operational noise. While their design is more intricate and costly, the long-term savings in maintenance, owing to protection from damage and premature wear of shafts and bearings, are significant.
Our Semhai API standard chemical pumps proudly incorporate API 671 Standard Disc Couplings.
These couplings boast lower reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to standard couplings, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire pump power transmission system.
