Introducing the SLZ, an end suction, long coupled, single stage centrifugal chemical process pump that adheres to the rigorous standards of EN 22858 / ISO 2858. This versatile marvel is perfect for diverse applications across industrial and marine markets, designed to handle low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids effortlessly. It efficiently pumps fresh water, sea water, and various fuels such as diesel, petrol, and kerosene. The SLZ is indispensable for applications including fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plant operations, mining, fire fighting, irrigation, water supply, water treatment, pressurisation, grey water management, dewatering, and marine operations.
Crafted for greatness, this large, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump boasts high flow and pressure capabilities, making it the ideal choice for demanding industrial environments.
Experience the transformative benefits of our long coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design, engineered for excellence and reliability.
One of the standout features of the long coupled configuration is its exceptional ease of maintenance. It allows convenient access to the pump head without the need to remove the motor, ensuring seamless operation and upkeep.
Built with robustness at its core, this process pump is engineered for continuous use, featuring additional bearings in the pump head. These bearings significantly reduce the operational strain on the motor, ensuring extended durability and efficiency.
The innovative back pull out design enables the motor to be detached while keeping the pump connected to the pipework. This feature significantly saves time during service and maintenance procedures, boosting productivity.
With independent shafts for the centrifugal chemical process pump and motor, maintenance is simplified. In the event of a shaft break, only the pump shaft requires replacement. This contrasts with other less robust pumps on the market, where a motor shaft break necessitates an entire motor replacement.
The thoughtfully designed long coupled configuration ensures ample space between the pump and motor, shielding the motor from fluid ingress in the eventuality of a seal failure, thus enhancing reliability.

Our centrifugal and chemical pumps are equipped with renowned brand bearings. These bearings are engineered for exceptional durability, ensuring the pumps deliver outstanding longevity even in the most challenging environments.
In our sophisticated pump designs, axial thrust is meticulously balanced. Most impellers boast front and rear wear rings complemented by a strategically placed balance hole on the back shroud. However, in pumps where axial thrust is minimal, these features are omitted, streamlining the design without compromising performance.
Our impellers, crafted with high-precision casting, guarantee superior performance. Available in robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, they are tailored for excellence.
Our pump systems are categorized into two principal configurations:
1) "Flush" - This configuration utilizes an injection of clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, optimizing the operational environment. A secondary port, typically downward-oriented, serves as a leakage observation or vent. This setup is essential for maintaining efficiency.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - In this arrangement, a secondary fluid is introduced between two mechanical seals. This prevents ambient air from contacting the pumped fluid, greatly enhances seal cooling, and significantly boosts safety.
It's noteworthy that some mechanical seals operate optimally without requiring special external flush systems, highlighting their versatile design.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings, unlike their rigid counterparts, are designed to accommodate movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion. This flexibility makes them perfect for applications with inevitable misalignment between drive and pump shafts. They effectively absorb vibrations, reducing operational noise and offering long-term maintenance savings despite their intricate and costly design.
Our Semhai API standard chemical pumps are equipped with API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, ensuring precision and reliability.
These advanced disc couplings deliver lower reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to standard couplings, enhancing the pump's overall power transmission efficiency and effectiveness.
