Introducing the SLZ end suction, long-coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump—a marvel of engineering crafted in adherence to EN 22858 / ISO 2858 standards. This versatile pump is designed to meet the rigorous demands of both industrial and marine markets. Perfectly suited for the smooth transfer of low-viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, it skillfully handles liquids devoid of solid or fibrous impurities. Its capabilities extend across a myriad of applications, including but not limited to the transfer of fresh water, sea water, and fuels such as diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Embrace its adaptability across sectors like chemical processing, energy plants, mining, fire fighting, irrigation, water supply, water treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine applications.
Behold the large, heavyweight champion of centrifugal chemical process pumps! This robust machinery boasts exceptional high flow and high-pressure capabilities, making it an indispensable asset for demanding operations.
The brilliance of the long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design lies in the multitude of benefits it offers to facilitators and operators alike.
With its long-coupled configuration, maintenance becomes a breeze. Gain access to the pump head effortlessly without the need to disassemble the motor, ensuring efficiency and ease of use.
Engineered for resilience, this process pump is built to withstand the rigors of continuous operation. Additional bearings within the pump head skillfully alleviate strain from the motor during use, ensuring longevity and reliability.
Efficiency meets convenience with the back pull-out design. The motor can be detached while the pump remains connected to the pipework, dramatically reducing service and maintenance time.
Enjoy unparalleled practicality with the centrifugal chemical process pump and motor’s independent shafts. In the rare event of shaft breakage, only the pump shaft requires replacement, unlike less robust models that necessitate a full motor replacement.
The long-coupled design offers a spacious buffer between the pump and motor, safeguarding the motor from fluid ingress in the event of a seal failure, thereby enhancing operational safety.

Our centrifugal and chemical pumps boast the integration of renowned brand bearings, ensuring exceptional durability and longer service life, even amidst the most challenging conditions imaginable.
To expertly balance axial thrust, our design incorporates wear rings both at the front and rear of the impeller in most models, along with a strategically placed balance hole on the back shroud. However, for certain pumps with minimal axial thrust, these features are ingeniously omitted, optimizing functionality without compromise.
Our impellers, crafted with high-precision casting, guarantee outstanding performance and reliability across materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze.
Our seal design principles are generally categorized into two innovative groups:
1) "Flush" - A refined approach where pristine, cool liquid is strategically introduced into the seal chamber, creating an improved operational environment. An additional, smaller port, typically positioned downward, serves as an observation point for leakage or venting, promoting enhanced system integrity.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - Ingeniously designed, a secondary fluid is introduced into the space between dual mechanical seals. This prevents ambient air from interfacing with the fluid being pumped, significantly boosting seal cooling and ensuring heightened safety standards.
Notably, it is important to highlight that not all mechanical seals necessitate intricate external flush mechanisms.
Ingenious Flexible Couplings
In contrast to rigid couplings, flexible couplings offer remarkable adaptability to accommodate movements such as vibrations and thermal expansions without incurring damage. This makes them exceptionally suited for scenarios where some inevitable misalignment exists between the drive and pump shafts. They excel in absorbing vibrations, thus minimizing excessive operational noise. While their design is sophisticated and relatively costlier, the long-term benefits of safeguarding shafts and bearings, coupled with maintenance cost reductions, make them a prudent choice.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps are adeptly equipped with API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, ensuring superior compatibility and performance.
These couplings offer diminished reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to conventional couplings, thereby optimizing the entire pump's power transmission efficiency and effectiveness.
