To masterfully balance axial thrust, many of our impellers are engineered with precision wear rings at both the front and rear, complemented by a strategically placed balance hole on the back shroud. However, in cases where axial thrust is minimized, the necessity for a rear wear ring and balance hole is elegantly eliminated.
Crafted with high-precision casting, our impellers are designed to guarantee optimal performance. Available in robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, they promise reliability and strength.
We categorize them into two primary groups:
1) "Flush" System - A pristine, cooling liquid is meticulously introduced into the seal chamber, enhancing the operational environment. An additional, smaller port, usually directed downward, serves as an observation or venting point for leakage.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" with Dual Seals - A secondary fluid is expertly delivered to the space between two mechanical seals, effectively preventing ambient air from interacting with the pumped fluid. This not only enhances seal cooling but also elevates safety standards.
It's noteworthy that not every mechanical seal requires specialized external flush setups.
