Introducing the SLZ end suction, long coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump from Shanghai Semhai Pump Co., Ltd. This innovative pump is engineered to meet EN 22858 / ISO 2858 standards, making it a versatile solution for diverse applications across both industrial and marine sectors. Specifically crafted for handling low viscosity, clean, or slightly contaminated fluids, this pump is adept at managing the transfer of fresh water, sea water, as well as fuels such as diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Its robustness makes it ideal for a myriad of uses including fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining, fire fighting, irrigation, water supply, water treatment, pressurization systems, grey water management, dewatering, and marine applications.
Behold a powerful, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump! Designed for high flow and high-pressure operations, this pump is your go-to solution for demanding industrial tasks.
The long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design is brimming with advantages.
Maintenance is a breeze with this long-coupled configuration! Accessing the pump head is straightforward and conveniently avoids the need to disconnect the motor.
Engineered for enduring performance, this process pump showcases a robust design bolstered by additional bearings within the pump head. These bearings significantly reduce strain on the motor during continuous operation.
Our advanced back pull-out design ensures the motor can be swiftly detached while the pump remains connected to the pipework, drastically optimizing service and maintenance efficiency.
Boasting independent shafts for the pump and motor, this setup translates into cost-effective maintenance. Only the pump shaft is replaced if breakage occurs, unlike other less durable pumps that require a full motor replacement.
The long-coupled design features ample spacing between pump and motor, thus safeguarding the motor against fluid ingress, particularly in cases of seal failure.

Our centrifugal pumps, including chemical pumps, proudly feature renowned brand bearings. These bearings are integral in delivering an extended service life, ensuring that our pumps perform impeccably even under the most challenging conditions.
To expertly manage axial thrust, our pumps incorporate dual wear rings—at the front and rear of most impellers—paired with a strategically placed balance hole on the back shroud of the impeller. In cases where the axial thrust is minimal, the need for a rear wear ring and balance hole is eliminated, showcasing the precision of our design.
Our high-precision casting impellers are engineered to perfection, guaranteeing optimal performance. Available in materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, these impellers exemplify quality and durability.
There are generally two main categories of seal systems:
1) "Flush" - This involves the injection of a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, significantly enhancing the operating environment. A secondary, smaller port, typically oriented downward, serves as a leakage observation or vent opening, adding an extra layer of reliability.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" used with dual seals - This system feeds a secondary fluid into the space between two sets of mechanical seals. This method effectively prevents ambient air from contacting the pumped fluid, boosts seal cooling, and elevates safety standards.
It's important to note that not all mechanical seals necessitate these specialized external flush arrangements, allowing for flexibility in configuration.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings, unlike their rigid counterparts, offer remarkable adaptability to movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion without sustaining damage. This makes them exceptionally suited for applications with inevitable misalignment between drive and pump shafts. Their vibration absorption capabilities also contribute to a marked reduction in operating noise. Although their design is more complex and costly, the long-term benefits include reduced maintenance expenses, as they safeguard shafts and bearings from damage and premature wear.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps are equipped with the advanced API 671 Standard Disc Couplings.
These couplings boast lower reaction loads, paired with superior balancing quality compared to standard couplings. They elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire pump power transmission system.
