The SLZ end suction, long-coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump is meticulously designed and standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858 standards, ensuring unmatched reliability and versatility for various industrial and marine applications. This pump is skillfully engineered to handle low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, devoid of any solid or fibrous impediments. Its robust design efficiently accommodates a plethora of fluids such as fresh water, seawater, and an array of fuels including diesel, petrol, and kerosene. The SLZ is the pump of choice for critical tasks including fuel transfer, energy generation, mining operations, firefighting, irrigation systems, water supply networks, water treatment facilities, pressurization setups, grey water management, dewatering projects, and marine applications.
This is a large, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump renowned for its exceptional high flow and high-pressure capabilities, making it a cornerstone in any industrial operation requiring consistent and powerful fluid movement.
The innovative long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers a myriad of advantages that elevate operational efficiency and durability.
The long-coupled configuration is ingeniously crafted for effortless maintenance, allowing seamless access to the pump head without necessitating the removal of the motor, thus minimizing downtime.
This process pump is engineered for robustness and continuous operation, featuring additional bearings strategically installed in the pump head, which significantly reduce the strain on the motor during intensive use.
The back pull-out design ingeniously permits the motor to be detached while keeping the pump securely connected to the pipework. This design innovation ensures considerable time savings when servicing or maintaining the pump.
The centrifugal chemical process pump is defined by its independent pump and motor shafts. This distinctive feature ensures that in the event of a shaft breakage, only the pump shaft requires replacement. This stands in stark contrast to other market offerings where a motor shaft failure necessitates a complete motor replacement.
The long-coupled design strategically provides ample space between the pump and the motor, effectively shielding the motor from potential fluid ingress in the unlikely event of a seal failure.

Our centrifugal pumps and chemical pumps boast the integration of premier brand bearings. These high-caliber bearings significantly extend the lifespan of the pumps, ensuring reliable performance even under the most challenging environmental conditions.
To proficiently manage axial thrust, our pumps are equipped with dual wear rings situated at both the front and back of the impeller, complemented by a strategically placed balance hole on the back shroud. For pumps where the axial thrust is minimal, these components are streamlined, foregoing the back wear ring and balance hole.
Our impellers are meticulously crafted through high-precision casting, guaranteeing superior performance. They are available in robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, meeting diverse operational demands.
Our product offerings are generally divided into two principal categories:
1) "Flush" method - This involves the injection of a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, enhancing the operational milieu. An additional, smaller port, typically oriented downward, serves as a vent opening or for leakage observation.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" system with dual seals - This innovative design introduces a secondary fluid between dual mechanical seal sets, effectively insulating the pumped fluid from ambient air. This not only boosts seal cooling but also elevates safety standards.
Notably, not every mechanical seal necessitates special external flush systems, highlighting our design's adaptability.
Flexible couplings
In contrast to rigid couplings, flexible couplings are engineered to accommodate movement, such as vibrations and thermal expansion, without sustaining damage. Ideal for scenarios with inevitable misalignment between the drive and pump shafts, they proficiently absorb vibrations and minimize excessive noise. While their design is more sophisticated and costly, the long-term benefits include substantial maintenance savings due to their protective role in preserving the integrity of the shaft and bearings.
Our Semhai API standard chemical pumps are equipped with API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, setting a benchmark for quality and reliability.
These couplings exhibit reduced reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to conventional couplings, boosting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the pump power transmission system.
