The SLZ end suction, long-coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump is meticulously standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858. This marvel of engineering versatility is crafted for an extensive array of applications within the industrial and marine sectors. Expertly designed to handle low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, it efficiently manages liquids devoid of fibrous or solid matter. Whether tasked with transferring fresh water, sea water, or fuels such as diesel, petrol, and kerosene, the SLZ excels. It is the cornerstone of operations in fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining ventures, fire fighting, irrigation, general water supply, sophisticated water treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine applications.
Introducing our large, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump, engineered to deliver exceptional high flow and high pressure capabilities, meeting demanding requirements with unmatched performance.
The long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers an abundance of benefits that elevate operational efficiency.
Thanks to its long-coupled configuration, maintenance is simplified. The pump head is easily accessible without the need to detach the motor, streamlining routine upkeep.
This process pump boasts an outstanding robustness, purposefully crafted for continuous operation. Additional bearings within the pump head alleviate motor strain, ensuring longevity and reliability during demanding tasks.
With a back pull-out design, the motor can be detached seamlessly while keeping the pump connected to the pipework, substantially reducing downtime during service or maintenance.
Distinctively designed with independent shafts for the pump and motor, this feature ensures that in the event of a pump shaft failure, only the pump shaft requires replacement, unlike other chemical process pumps where a motor shaft failure necessitates full motor replacement.
The long-coupled architecture provides ample space between the pump and motor, effectively safeguarding the motor from potential fluid ingress in the unfortunate event of seal failure.

Our centrifugal and chemical pumps proudly incorporate renowned brand bearings, ensuring outstanding durability and performance. Even under the most demanding conditions, these bearings contribute to a significantly extended service life, making our pumps a reliable choice for challenging applications.
To skillfully counterbalance axial thrust, most impellers are equipped with wear rings strategically placed at both the front and back. Additionally, a balance hole is positioned on the rear shroud. However, in instances where the axial thrust of certain pumps is minimal, the design is innovatively streamlined without the need for a rear wear ring or balance hole.
Our high-precision casting impellers assure superior performance across a spectrum of materials, including cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, for unmatched reliability and versatility.
There are generally two main groups:
1) "Flush" - This approach introduces a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, effectively enhancing the operational environment. A secondary, smaller port, typically oriented downward, serves as an observation point or vent, allowing for simple monitoring of potential leakage.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" with dual seals - A secondary fluid is strategically utilized between two sets of mechanical seals. This method prevents ambient air from interacting with the pumped fluid, significantly improving seal cooling and boosting safety measures.
It is noteworthy that not all mechanical seals necessitate specialized external flush configurations, simplifying maintenance in many cases.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings, unlike their rigid counterparts, gracefully accommodate movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion, making them ideal for scenarios where shaft alignment isn't perfect. Their ability to absorb vibrations not only minimizes operational noise but also safeguards shafts and bearings from damage, leading to potential long-term maintenance savings despite their initially more complex and costly design.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps feature API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, setting a benchmark in performance and reliability.
These couplings offer reduced reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to ordinary couplings, thus maximizing efficiency and effectiveness for complete pump power transmission.
