The SLZ end suction, long coupled, single stage centrifugal chemical process pump is meticulously standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858. This exceptional pump is versatile for an extensive array of applications across industrial and marine realms. It is skillfully engineered to handle low viscosity, clean, or mildly contaminated fluids effortlessly, ensuring no presence of solid or fibrous particles. Typically, the SLZ pump is adept at transferring fluids like fresh water, sea water, and diverse fuels including diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Its common applications are expansive, ranging from fuel transfer to powering chemical plants, energy facilities, mining operations, firefighting systems, irrigation networks, water supply infrastructures, water treatment processes, pressurisation systems, grey water management, dewatering tasks, and marine uses.
This is a robust, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump, celebrated for its high flow and formidable pressure capabilities.
The long coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers a myriad of advantages.
The brilliantly engineered long coupled configuration significantly simplifies maintenance, providing easy access to the pump head without necessitating motor removal.
Expertly crafted for durability, this process pump is built for continuous operation. It is fortified with additional bearings in the pump head, which effectively alleviate substantial strain from the motor during its operations.
Ingeniously designed with a back pull out feature, this process pump allows seamless motor removal while remaining connected to the pipework, ensuring substantial time savings during maintenance or servicing.
The centrifugal chemical process pump and motor boast independent shafts. In the event of a pump shaft failure, only the pump shaft requires replacement. This is a stark contrast to less durable market alternatives that combine the motor shaft, necessitating full motor replacement upon shaft failure.
The long coupled design creates a significant buffer space between the pump and motor, offering superior protection to the motor from fluid ingress if a seal failure occurs.

Our centrifugal and chemical pumps are enhanced with renowned brand bearings, ensuring remarkable durability even under the most demanding conditions. Experience the unmatched reliability and extended service life of our centrifugal pumps, crafted to withstand harsh working environments with ease.
To efficiently balance axial thrust, our pumps are engineered with precision. The majority of our impellers feature wear rings both at the front and rear, complemented by a balance hole on the impeller's back shroud. For pumps where axial thrust is minimal, these components may be omitted, delivering tailored performance without compromise.
Crafted with high-precision casting, our impellers guarantee optimal performance. Available in robust materials like cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, they are designed to meet diverse application needs with excellence.
There are generally two main groups:
1) "Flush" - This method introduces a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, enhancing the operating conditions significantly. Equipped with a secondary, downward-facing port, it allows for effective leakage observation or venting, ensuring seamless operation.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - A secondary fluid is introduced between two mechanical seals, effectively preventing ambient air from reaching the pumped fluid. This not only enhances seal cooling but also elevates safety standards.
It's important to note that not all mechanical seals require specialized external flush systems, offering flexibility and adaptability in various applications.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings provide a solution unlike any other. Unlike rigid couplings, they accommodate movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion, making them perfect for applications with inconsistent alignment between drive and pump shafts. They excel in absorbing vibrations, effectively reducing noise levels. While their design is more intricate and costly, the long-term maintenance savings due to reduced shaft and bearing damage make them a wise investment.
Our Semhai API standard chemical pumps incorporate API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, ensuring superior performance and reliability.
These couplings offer lower reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to conventional couplings. They enhance the entire pump power transmission system's efficiency and effectiveness, setting a new benchmark for excellence.
