To expertly balance axial thrust, our innovative design incorporates wear rings both in front and behind the majority of the impeller. Additionally, a precision-engineered balance hole is crafted into the back shroud of the impeller. For pumps where axial thrust is minimal, we thoughtfully omit the back wear ring and balance hole, achieving an optimal configuration.
Our high-precision casting impeller promises exceptional performance, with options crafted in robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze. This ensures resilience and efficiency tailored to meet diverse industrial demands.
There are generally two main groups:
1) "Flush" - By injecting clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, the operational environment is significantly enhanced. A secondary, strategically oriented port serves as a vital leakage observation or vent point, ensuring peak performance.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - A secondary fluid is introduced into the inter-seal space, effectively blocking ambient air from the pumped fluid, optimizing seal cooling, and bolstering operational safety.
Interestingly, not every mechanical seal demands intricate external flush arrangements—streamlined efficiency at its best.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings, unlike their rigid counterparts, are designed to handle movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion with ease and without damage. Their ability to accommodate unavoidable misalignments makes them indispensable, especially as they effectively absorb vibrations and reduce operating noise, albeit at a slightly higher design complexity and cost. In the long term, the maintenance savings achieved by protecting the shafts and bearings from damage and premature wear greatly outweigh these costs.
