The SLZ end suction, long coupled, single stage centrifugal chemical process pump is ingeniously standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858, making it a versatile powerhouse suitable for a broad spectrum of industrial and marine market applications. Engineered with precision, it efficiently handles low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, provided they are free from solid or fibrous debris. From fresh water to sea water, and fuels like diesel, petrol, and kerosene, this pump is adept at diverse tasks such as fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plant operations, mining, fire fighting, irrigation, water supply, water treatment, pressurization, gray water management, dewatering, and marine applications.
This robust centrifugal chemical process pump stands out with its impressive high flow and high pressure capabilities, ideal for heavy-duty operations.
The meticulous design of this long coupled centrifugal chemical process pump unveils a myriad of advantages.
Experience the simplicity of maintenance with the long coupled configuration, allowing hassle-free access to the pump head without the need to detach the motor.
Constructed for relentless performance, this process pump boasts durability with additional bearings in the pump head, significantly alleviating the operational strain on the motor.
Featuring a clever back pull out design, this pump enables swift motor removal while remaining connected to the pipework, thus enhancing efficiency during service and maintenance.
With separate shafts for the pump and motor, the centrifugal chemical process pump ensures that only the pump shaft requires replacement if damaged, contrasting with less durable models where a motor shaft failure demands a full motor replacement.
The innovative long-coupled design creates a generous space between pump and motor, safeguarding the motor from fluid intrusion in case of seal failure.

Our centrifugal pumps, including chemical pumps, are equipped with renowned brand bearings, ensuring exceptional durability and extended service life even in the most challenging environments.
To expertly balance axial thrust, most of our impellers feature wear rings at both the front and back, complemented by a balance hole on the impeller's back shroud. However, in some pumps where axial thrust is minimal, the wear ring and balance hole at the back may not be necessary.
The high-precision casting of our impellers guarantees exceptional performance, available in materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze.
Our products can be categorized into two main groups:
1) "Flush" - A clean, cool liquid is injected into the seal chamber, optimizing the operating environment. A secondary, smaller port, typically oriented downward, serves as a leakage observation or vent opening, ensuring superior functionality.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - This method introduces a secondary fluid into the space between two sets of mechanical seals, preventing ambient air contact with the pumped fluid, enhancing seal cooling, and boosting overall safety.
Notably, not all mechanical seals require special external flush arrangements, highlighting the adaptability of our design.
Flexible couplings
Designed to accommodate movement, such as vibrations and thermal expansion, flexible couplings are ideal for applications with unavoidable misalignment between drive and pump shafts. Their ability to absorb vibrations also helps reduce operating noise. Despite their complex and costly design, these couplings protect shafts and bearings from damage and premature wear, offering maintenance savings over time.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps are equipped with API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
These couplings offer lower reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to standard couplings, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the entire pump power transmission system.
