Introducing the SLZ end-suction, long-coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump, meticulously standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858, serving a vast array of applications across industrial and marine markets. Engineered for excellence, this pump effortlessly handles low-viscosity clean or mildly contaminated fluids without solid or fibrous interference. It excels in transporting fresh water, sea water, as well as fuels such as diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Ideal for fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining, firefighting, irrigation, water supply, treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine applications.
Experience the power of a large, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump, built with exceptional high-flow and high-pressure capabilities.
The long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers a multitude of advantages, enhancing efficiency and performance.
Maintenance has never been easier with the long-coupled configuration, allowing direct access to the pump head without motor removal.
Designed for relentless operation, this robust process pump incorporates additional bearings in the pump head, significantly reducing motor strain during ongoing use.
The back pull-out design enables motor removal while the pump remains connected to the pipework, streamlining maintenance and saving valuable time.
Our centrifugal chemical process pump boasts independent shafts for both pump and motor. In the rare event of shaft failure, only the pump shaft requires replacement. Unlike other market offerings that rely on motor shafts, this design prevents entire motor replacements, ensuring cost efficiency.
The long-coupled design ingeniously creates a generous space between pump and motor, safeguarding the motor from fluid ingress in case of seal failure.

Our centrifugal pumps, particularly those designed for chemical applications, are equipped with renowned brand bearings. These esteemed bearings significantly extend the service life of our pumps, ensuring unparalleled durability and performance even in the most challenging conditions.
To expertly balance axial thrust, our designs incorporate wear rings both at the front and rear of the impeller, complemented by a balance hole on the back shroud. For pumps where axial thrust is minimal, these features may be omitted, ensuring optimal design efficiency without unnecessary components.
Our high-precision casting impellers are crafted to ensure superior performance. Available in durable materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, they deliver exceptional reliability and strength.
Our advanced systems are categorized into two primary groups:
1) "Flush" - This method introduces a clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, significantly enhancing the operational environment. An additional, smaller port, typically oriented downward, facilitates leakage observation or functions as a vent opening.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - This approach involves feeding a secondary fluid into the space between two mechanical seals. This prevents ambient air from interacting with the pumped liquid, improves seal cooling, and significantly enhances safety.
It's noteworthy that not all mechanical seals necessitate specialized external flush arrangements, emphasizing the adaptability of our designs.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings distinguish themselves from rigid variants by accommodating movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion, without incurring damage. Perfect for situations with unavoidable misalignment between drive and pump shafts, they effectively dampen vibrations, thus reducing operating noise. Although they feature a more intricate and costly design, the long-term maintenance savings due to protection against shaft and bearing damage are considerable.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps integrate API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, ensuring optimal performance.
These couplings offer lower reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to conventional couplings, significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of overall pump power transmission.
