The impeller, a critical component within a centrifugal pump, plays a pivotal role in its operation. As liquid enters the center of the rotating impeller, it is propelled by the vanes, gaining velocity and being expelled into the casing through centrifugal force. The auto coupling set, also known as a guide rail system, facilitates effortless maintenance by enabling pumps to be smoothly lifted or lowered within sumps or chambers. This system negates the need for disconnection of fittings or pipework. Standard kits come with a base (duckfoot or pedestal), pump adaptor/guide hook, and upper rail positioning bracket, complete with lifting chains and shackles. Depending on the chosen model, the pump is directed by one or two rails to its precise seating position, guaranteeing a positive seal or facilitating easy removal.
