The SLZ end suction, long coupled, single stage centrifugal chemical process pump is crafted to meet the rigorous standards of EN 22858 / ISO 2858, ensuring exceptional versatility across both industrial and marine markets. This pump is engineered to handle low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, seamlessly accommodating the absence of solid and fibrous debris. Its adaptability makes it perfect for handling fresh water, sea water, and fuels - including diesel, petrol, and kerosene. The pump finds its place in a myriad of applications such as fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining, fire fighting, irrigation, water supply, water treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine operations.
This robust centrifugal chemical process pump is built for high flow and high pressure operations, making it the perfect choice for challenging and demanding environments.
The long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers a myriad of advantages that enhance operational efficiency and ease of maintenance.
The long-coupled configuration simplifies maintenance, allowing easy access to the pump head without the need to detach the motor.
This process pump is engineered for endurance and reliability, thanks to additional bearings strategically installed in the pump head. These bearings significantly reduce motor strain, ensuring continuous and robust performance.
With its back pull out design, this pump allows the motor to be removed while keeping the pump connected to the pipework. This innovative design results in significant time savings during servicing and maintenance.
The independence of the centrifugal chemical process pump and motor shafts means only the pump shaft requires replacement in case of damage, unlike less robust pumps that necessitate replacing the entire motor if the shaft breaks.
The long-coupled design creates a significant space between the pump and motor, effectively safeguarding the motor from fluid ingress in the unlikely event of a seal failure.

Our centrifugal pumps, including chemical pump variants, are equipped with renowned brand bearings, ensuring exceptional durability. These bearings are expertly designed to prolong the service life of our pumps, allowing them to thrive even in the most challenging environments.
To masterfully balance axial thrust, our pumps feature wear rings both in front and at the back of most impellers, coupled with a balance hole on the impeller's back shroud. For pumps where axial thrust is minimal, the back impeller design may forgo a wear ring and balance hole, streamlining the build.
The high-precision casting of our impellers guarantees superior performance, available in robust materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, tailored for enduring excellence.
Our product offerings are divided into two primary categories:
1) "Flush" - This method introduces clean, cool liquid into the seal chamber, enhancing the operational conditions. A secondary, smaller port, typically positioned downward, serves as a leakage observation point or vent, optimizing efficiency and safety.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - Here, a secondary fluid is introduced between two mechanical seals to prevent ambient air from mixing with the pumped fluid. This not only heightens seal cooling but also significantly bolsters safety and operational integrity.
Remarkably, not all mechanical seals necessitate specialized external flush systems, highlighting the adaptability of our design.
Flexible couplings
In contrast to rigid alternatives, flexible couplings are adept at accommodating certain movements such as vibrations and thermal expansion, preventing damage. They are ideally suited for applications with some misalignment between drive and pump shafts. Efficient at dampening vibrations, they effectively minimize operating noise. While their design is more intricate and costly, the savings in maintenance, due to protection of shafts and bearings from damage and wear, offer long-term economic benefits.
Our Semhai API standard chemical pumps are equipped with API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, ensuring top-tier performance.
These couplings offer reduced reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to standard couplings, significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall pump power transmission.
