Introducing the remarkable SLZ end suction, long coupled, single stage centrifugal chemical process pump, meticulously standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858. This versatile powerhouse is engineered for an extensive array of applications across industrial and marine markets. Expertly crafted to handle low viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, devoid of solid or fibrous matter, it excels in pumping fresh water, sea water, and diverse fuels such as diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Its robust design makes it ideal for a multitude of applications, including fuel transfer, chemical processes, energy plants, mining, fire fighting, irrigation, water supply, water treatment, pressurization, grey water management, dewatering, and marine operations.
This pump is an engineering marvel—a large, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump with exceptional high flow and high pressure performance, setting a benchmark in reliability and efficiency.
The ingenious long coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design offers a multitude of advantageous benefits, enhancing operational ease and dependability.
The long coupled configuration is a testament to maintenance simplicity, allowing easy access to the pump head while leaving the motor intact, minimizing downtime and effort.
Engineered for robustness and longevity, this process pump is designed for relentless continuous use. Thanks to the additional bearings installed in the pump head, significant strain is alleviated from the motor during operation, ensuring durability.
The sophisticated back pull-out design facilitates effortless motor removal without disconnecting the pump from the pipework, saving valuable time during service or maintenance.
Featuring independent shafts for the pump and motor, this design innovation means only the pump shaft requires replacement in case of a breakage, unlike less robust models where the entire motor shaft would need substitution.
The long coupled design ingeniously provides ample space between the pump and motor, safeguarding the motor from fluid ingress in the event of seal failure, enhancing reliability.

Our centrifugal pumps and chemical pumps proudly feature renowned brand bearings, ensuring superior performance and an extended lifespan even under the most challenging conditions. These bearings are a testament to our commitment to quality and reliability, promising endurance and durability in our pumps.
To expertly manage axial thrust, our sophisticated design incorporates wear rings strategically placed at both the front and rear of most impellers, coupled with a balance hole on the back shroud. For pumps with minimal axial thrust, the streamlined design omits the rear wear ring and balance hole, optimizing efficiency while maintaining performance.
Our high-precision casting impeller, crafted from premium materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze, guarantees exceptional performance and reliability, embodying the pinnacle of engineering excellence.
Our mechanical seal systems are categorized into two primary groups:
1) "Flush" - This system injects clean, cool liquid directly into the seal chamber, significantly enhancing the operational environment. An additional smaller port, typically positioned downward, serves as a convenient leakage observation or vent opening, ensuring optimal system monitoring.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" for dual seals - A secondary fluid is introduced into the space between the two sets of mechanical seals. This innovative approach prevents ambient air from contacting the pumped fluid, thereby improving seal cooling and significantly boosting safety standards.
It is important to note that not all mechanical seals necessitate specialized external flush arrangements, underscoring their versatility and adaptability to various applications.
Flexible Couplings
In contrast to rigid couplings, flexible couplings are engineered to accommodate movement such as vibrations and thermal expansion, making them indispensable for applications with unavoidable misalignment between drive and pump shafts. Their vibration-absorbing capabilities also help reduce operational noise. While the design is more complex and costly, the long-term maintenance savings due to protection against shaft and bearing damage make them a wise investment.
Our Semhai API standard chemical pumps are equipped with API 671 standard disc couplings, showcasing superior technology and design.
These couplings boast reduced reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to conventional couplings, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire pump power transmission system.
