The SLZ end suction, long-coupled, single-stage centrifugal chemical process pump is expertly standardized to EN 22858 / ISO 2858, making it a versatile powerhouse suitable for diverse applications in both industrial and marine sectors. Engineered to perfection, it adeptly handles low-viscosity clean or slightly contaminated fluids, even in the absence of solid or fibrous particles. This robust pump thrives on common fluids like fresh water, sea water, and fuels including diesel, petrol, and kerosene. Its applications are manifold, encompassing fuel transfer, chemical processing, energy plants, mining operations, firefighting, irrigation systems, water supply and treatment, pressurization tasks, grey water management, dewatering, and marine uses.
This is a formidable, heavy-duty centrifugal chemical process pump engineered for high flow and high-pressure operations, ensuring robust performance even under demanding conditions.
The long-coupled centrifugal chemical process pump design is a marvel of engineering, offering numerous advantages that enhance efficiency and reliability.
The long-coupled configuration simplifies maintenance significantly, allowing easy access to the pump head without the need to detach the motor, streamlining the upkeep process.
This process pump is a paragon of strength and durability, designed for continuous operation. It features additional bearings installed in the pump head, effectively reducing motor strain and enhancing longevity.
The innovative back pull-out design permits the motor's removal while keeping the pump connected to the pipework, offering substantial time savings during service and maintenance.
Our centrifugal chemical process pump and motor boast independent shafts, meaning only the pump shaft requires replacement if damaged. Unlike less robust models, which risk entire motor replacement if the shaft is compromised, our design represents a cost-effective, resilient solution.
The long-coupled design ensures ample space between pump and motor, safeguarding the motor against fluid ingress in the event of a seal failure, preserving its integrity.

Our centrifugal and chemical pumps are expertly crafted using renowned brand bearings to ensure robust performance and durability. Even in the most challenging of environments, our pumps promise an extended service life, making them a reliable choice for demanding applications.
To ingeniously manage axial thrust, our pumps are equipped with wear rings strategically placed at both the fore and aft of most impellers. Additionally, a balance hole is positioned on the impeller's back shroud. For pumps where axial thrust is minimal, the design is streamlined by omitting the rear wear ring and balance hole.
Leveraging high-precision casting techniques, our impellers guarantee superior performance across materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze. This meticulous attention to detail ensures reliability and excellence in every use case.
Our systems are categorized into two principal groups:
1) "Flush" - In this method, a clean, cool liquid is meticulously introduced into the seal chamber, optimizing the operational conditions. A secondary, smaller port is typically positioned downward, functioning as a vital leakage observation or vent opening.
2) "Barrier or Buffer" used with dual seals - This system introduces a secondary fluid to the inter-seal space, crucially preventing ambient air from mingling with the pumped fluid. It enhances seal cooling and bolsters safety, ensuring seamless operation.
It's important to highlight that many mechanical seals do not necessitate specialized external flush arrangements, underscoring their versatile and adaptable design.
Flexible couplings
Flexible couplings, unlike their rigid counterparts, are designed to accommodate slight movements such as vibrations and thermal expansion without sustaining damage. Ideal for scenarios where unavoidable misalignment between drive and pump shafts occurs, they excel in absorbing vibrations, thereby diminishing excessive operational noise. Though this complex design may be costlier, the protection they offer against shaft and bearing damage significantly reduces long-term maintenance costs.
Semhai's API standard chemical pumps incorporate the sophisticated API 671 Standard Disc Couplings, exemplifying excellence in design and functionality.
These advanced couplings feature lower reaction loads and superior balancing quality compared to standard couplings, significantly enhancing the pump's overall power transmission efficiency and effectiveness.
